Anxiety
Anxiety can affect much more than our thoughts. It can show up as constant worry, overthinking, difficulty making decisions, irritability, restlessness, or a sense that something is always about to go wrong.
Anxiety isn't only in our minds; anxiety can be in our bodies through tension, a racing heart, shallow breathing, digestive discomfort, or difficulty settling and feeling safe.
Sometimes it has a clear source; at other times it can feel difficult to understand or control.
Whether you are experiencing ongoing anxiety, a period of heightened stress, or anxiety related to a life transition, counselling can provide a space to slow down and understand what's happening while developing new ways of responding.
It is important to take a whole-person approach to anxiety that considers both the mind and the nervous system. Together, we can explore the thoughts, emotions, patterns, and underlying experiences that may be contributing to anxiety, while developing practical tools to support greater regulation, self-awareness, and a sense of safety in your body.
You don't have to figure it all out on your own. Counselling can help you move from simply managing anxiety toward understanding yourself with greater compassion and confidence.
